Meet Alixi King

Hello Friends and Fellow readers!

I’m honored to welcome you to my website. Let me start by sharing that I’m a reader first and a romantic at heart, which is why I love writing engaging stories. I began writing at the age of twelve during junior high school. Back then, it was all about short stories and poetry. Over the years, I progressed to writing romance novels that I started but never finished. Then I met the man the Lord had for me. I fell hard, we got married, and then the children arrived. Before I knew it, I was a wife and a mom, attending school and little league events for every sport, and then the kids grew up. Now, I have plenty of time to share all the adventures of adulthood, parenting, and other life lessons I've learned with you, all featured in stories that will transport you to another world and time.

I recognize that I am an ambassador for Christ, as the Apostle Paul stated in 2 Corinthians 5:20. As a believer, I understand I am not exempt from sin. Each day, I wake up in the garden, where both the Lord and Satan are present with me. When I stray from God, Satan is there. When I remain solely in His presence, Satan flees. It’s as simple as that. There are two voices in the garden. The question is, which voice will I heed and follow? John 10:27-30, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.

One of my favorite Bible passages, John Chapter 1, serves as inspiration for my writing. John takes us back to the beginning: John 1:1-5, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. In my writing, I create a realistic world where God exists, featuring both secular and Christian characters. I hope my writing is inviting to everyone, as I recognize that Christianity is a choice and isn’t for everyone.

Redemption is the first novel I’ve published in my four-book series. The Thief series explores the darker aspects of the world and how Christians face that darkness. My love for Christ is the driving passion behind my writing. I aim to share Him with the world in a way that is inviting to everyone, including nonbelievers, rather than preachy. I want to introduce authentic characters, flawed in every way, who encounter Jesus throughout their journey and are gradually transformed by Him. My topics range from evil empires trying to dominate the world to government corruption and conspiracies within local communities. For many years, I was an optimist, believing people weren’t that bad until I learned that children were being trafficked in my community. That’s a real wake-up call when bad things happen in your own backyard, which is why we all need a savior. We often avoid discussing these dark topics, but we must shed more light on these issues to bring them to the forefront. And Jesus is that light. We must all acknowledge that bad things happen and expose them. The Apostol Paul says in Romans 7:18-19, For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. But then in Romans 7:24-25, O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

The inspiration for this series comes from John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. The hero, Zander, is an atheist, while the heroine, Nalda, is a Christian. The question arises: can she lead him to salvation, or will his wicked ways corrupt her? “Redemption - The Thief Comes to Steal” is now available on Amazon and is free on KU for a limited time. Discover the answer by reading it, and be sure to leave a review!
