Meet Alixi King
Hello Friends and Fellow readers!
I’m honored to have you visit my website. Let me start by saying that I’m a reader first and romantic at heart, which is why I started writing books. I started writing when I was twelve in junior high school. Back then, it was short stories and poetry. Over the years, it progressed to romance novels that I started but never finished, and then I met the man the Lord had for me. I fell hard, we married, and then the children came. Before I knew it, I was a wife and mom, going to school and little league events in every sport, and then the kids grew up. Now, I have nothing but time to share all the adventures of adulthood, parenting, and other life lessons I have learned with you featured in a story that will captivate you into another world and time.
Redemption – The Thief Comes to Steal is my first published novel. In this series, I focus on the dark side of the world and how Christians deal with that darkness. It’s the whole reason why God sent his only begotten son to die for our sins. Men are, by nature, dark, and we need His light to give us life. The Apostol Paul says in Romans 7:18-19, For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. But then in Romans 7:24-25, O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Our biggest mistake is trying to be good on our own, but that’s impossible. Only Christ within me is the reason for any good thing that comes out of me, and I’m blessed to have known Him personally from a young age and allowed Him to change me into the woman I am today. Without Him, I am useless. My love for Christ is the passion that runs so deep in my writing. I aim to share Him with the world in a way that’s not preachy but inviting for everyone, including the nonbelievers. I want to introduce you to real characters, flawed in every way, but during their walk of life, they stumble on Jesus, and He transforms them slowly but surely. My topics vary from evil empires that want to take over the world to government corruption and conspiracies in local communities. For many years, I was the optimist, thinking people weren’t that bad until I discovered children were being trafficked in my community. That’s a real wake-up call when bad things happen in your own backyard, which is why we all need a savior. These are dark topics we hate to discuss, but we need more attention to these things to bring them to light. And Jesus is that light. We all need to be aware that bad things happen and expose them.
I believe we live in the last days and closer to Christ’s coming than ever before. In my writing, you will see that Christians can be manipulated to compromise to go along with the world’s agenda. My writing is for mature adults, 18+ and there’s mild language and sexual topics and encounters without explicit sex scenes. One of my favorite Bible chapters, John Chapter 1, inspired my writing. John takes us back to the beginning: John 1:1-5, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Unfortunately, Christianity isn’t for everyone. That’s a hard fact that I must respect and accept because I am in the world, but not of it. But even so, as Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:20, we are ambassadors for Christ. As a believer, I realize that I am not exempt from sin. Each day, I wake up in the garden. In the garden, there’s both the Lord and Satan with me. When I stray away from God, Satan is there. When I am solely in His presence, Satan flees. It’s as simple as that. Two voices are always with me; the question is, which voice will I heed and follow? John 10:27-30, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.
Redemption is the first novel I’ve published in The Thief's four-book series. The inspiration for this series comes from John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. The hero, Zander, in the book, is an atheist, and the heroine, Nalda, is a Christian. The question is, can she lead him to salvation, or will his wicked ways corrupt her? Redemption- The Thief Comes to Steal is now available on Amazon and is free on KU for a limited time. Find out when you read it, and please leave a review!
Thanks for your support, and Happy Reading!
